I'm agnostic about aliens. It seems arrogant to believe that earth really carries the only living beings in the vast expanse of space. That seems a little too miraculous to me. But I also don't hold any beliefs about what they specifically would be like, because I know so little.

The beings I have the easiest time imagining are microorganisms like amoebas or bacteria. I can also imagine plants existing in a natural landscape - things that were here before us on Earth and can exist without us. Or maybe there's no exposed land, and a whole planet and all of its creatures are under water! Or in water under a permanent layer of ice. I can imagine all of these living things existing out there on another planet or moon, but my imagination has a hard time going as far as sentient beings.
